What is manipulation ?

It is to have power over the other person to do what you want her to do without respecting her inner desire or reason for her situation.

People who manipulate are also manipulated. It is a vicious circle. It is a very strong misconduct of non respect of just egoistic mind thinking for his or her own interest.

Our society lives this way in a very strong pattern. States manipulate their citizens, family members manipulate each other. It is a power pattern to have power over the other knowing that it goes against his desire.

It is a pattern how our society came of not being able to trust each other.

How to break that pattern ?

Don't answer in impulsiveness when you notice that you are being manipulated. Take your time to reflect on the manipulative pattern. Decide in calm and what is good for you and the situation for all.

If the answer is not clear give your conditions so it works for all. To have an open heart one needs to respect all parties involved. There are different answers and different solutions. There is always space of negotiation. The conversation is important, to hear all point of views to make a conclusion that is acceptable for all parties.

Where does manipulation come from ?

Non-respect to the other, a feeling of victim, that the other has it all and you don't. Lack of love to yourself and the others. Desire of exercising power and control.

When we ask a question how do we need to behave?

Non-attachment, be happy with a yes or a no. There are different ways to do it. Feel the other person's reason behind the answer. Feel the other person's soul. Where does she or he come from. Is his or her request coming from ego or from a basic necessity. If it's both calculate the harm or good it does to you and the other person involved. Don't give in because you want to get her or his love. This is the wrong way. Only give in, if you can offer it with your entire heart and with generosity. Unconditional love. Ask for a compensation for you. Be rigorous in making sure that all parties have their share of satisfaction. Manipulation is eliminated once all parties have acquired a feeling of respect and trust. Important is not to acquire the "prostitute attitude" to please the other to obtain something like money, love or a favor. Things need to be clear and explained.

Manipulation: Exercise your power without the other's willingness

Prostitute: Give in to something you only do, to acquire something that is not coming from the heart.
